Model 1064 and the longer 1264 both have a gross weight of 2600kg allowing a payload of in excess of 2 tons, the 6 foot wide body makes them ideal for transporting larger machines or quantities of grounds maintenance equipment. The low centre of gravity and fixed sides assist stability and load security. The ramp tailboard, with which these trailers are usually supplied, has a low approach angle. It is manufactured with an expanded metal surface being strong, lightweight and offering extremely good grip. All our ramp doors have lifting springs making them very easy and safe to use. In common with all the general purpose trailers in this range, Model 1064 has a hot dipped galvanised steel chassis with 2mm thick pre-galvanised steel sides 300mm deep and an 18mm phenol coated non-slip plywood floor. The independent rubber suspension axles have auto reversing brakes, operated by cast steel hydraulic damped over run coupling with a power assisted hand brake and integral jockey wheel. Full road lights are fitted and the specially designed damage resistant mudguards are fitted with aluminium tread plate.
