• We require a £200.00 deposit for the hire, refunded accordingly when the hired item is returned in good order.
• As a first-time hirer, we need 2 forms of ID verifying your address – e.g. a driver’s licence and a statement or utility bill.
• You will need a number plate for a trailer – if you do not have one, we can supply one for £15.00 when you show your driver’s licence and V5C document.

Roof Box and Camping Trailer Hire FAQs

How much is the hire deposit?
A refundable £200 deposit is required. It is refunded accordingly when the hired item is returned in good order.

Do I need roof bars to hire a roof box?
Yes. Your vehicle must have suitable horizontal roof bars. Fieldfare cannot supply roof bars or racks, but we can help fit the roof box on collection.

What identification do first-time hirers need?
First-time hirers need two forms of identification showing their current address, such as a photocard driving licence and a recent utility bill, bank statement or credit-card statement.

Do I need to provide a number plate?
Yes, for a camping or box trailer. If you do not have one, Fieldfare can supply one for £15 when you show your driving licence and V5C document.

Do the hire prices include VAT?
Yes. All prices displayed on this page include VAT.

When does weekend hire run?
Weekend hire starts at 3.30pm on Friday and ends at 9.00am on Monday, subject to availability.

How long is one day of hire?
One day of hire is 24 hours.

• The hirer must provide two forms of ID proving their current address.
• All hire charges must be paid in advance. A £200 holding deposit is payable by credit or debit card. Cheques and cash are not accepted.
• The hirer is responsible for satisfying legal requirements including licence, weight limitations, safe loading and trailer safety.
• The hirer will inspect the hired item and sign for its condition on collection.
• Damage or differences from the agreed condition are charged to the hirer.
• Insurance against theft, damage and accidents is the hirer’s responsibility from assignment until the item is signed back in by a staff member.
• Roof boxes must not be returned out of hours. Doing so will result in forfeiture of the deposit.
• Weekend hire runs from 3.30pm Friday to 9.00am Monday, subject to availability.
• One day of hire equals 24 hours.
