Airrex Diesel Infrared Heaters

Why choose Airrex diesel infrared heaters

Airrex diesel infrared heaters provide quiet, portable radiant heat for workshops, garages, warehouses and other large working spaces. Instead of relying on a fan to circulate warm air, infrared heat warms people, equipment and surrounding surfaces directly.

Fieldfare supplies the compact Airrex AH-200i and the higher-output Airrex AH-800i. Both models are mobile, thermostatically controlled and suitable for use with diesel or biodiesel, subject to the instructions for the individual heater.

Why choose an Airrex diesel infrared heater?

  • Radiant heat: infrared energy warms surfaces, structures and people rather than relying only on heated air.
  • No circulation fan: the fanless heating method helps to avoid moving dust around the workspace.
  • Quiet operation: Fieldfare lists both available models at approximately 48 dB.
  • Portable design: castor wheels allow the heater to be repositioned without fixed installation.
  • Automatic temperature control: the thermostat can be set between 0 and 40°C.
  • Remote operation: the AH-200i and AH-800i support remote and app-based control using a suitable network connection.
  • Fuel choice: compatible fuels include diesel and biodiesel; check the model instructions and use the correct seasonal fuel for the operating temperature.
Ventilation is essential

Airrex heaters use oxygen during combustion, so adequate inlet and outlet ventilation must be maintained. The manufacturer states that a separate exhaust pipe is not normally required in many ventilated working environments, but these heaters must not be used in premises where people sleep. Always follow the instructions for the installed model and applicable building regulations.

Where can Airrex heaters be used?

Airrex diesel heaters are intended for large, ventilated spaces where portable and even heating is useful. Typical applications include:

  • Workshops, garages and vehicle repair areas
  • Warehouses, industrial halls and storage buildings
  • Agricultural buildings and greenhouses
  • Event tents and other temporary structures
  • Recreational facilities and other large work areas

The stated maximum volume is a guide rather than a guarantee of performance. Insulation, ceiling height, outside temperature, ventilation and frequently opened doors all affect the heater required.

Fuel, controls and safe operation

The AH-200i and AH-800i use a 220–230 V electrical supply for their controls and fuel system. They include thermostatic control, safety monitoring and automatic shutdown functions. Fieldfare's product information lists protection for conditions including overheating, abnormal movement or tilt, fuel shortage and burner faults.

Fuel consumption varies with the model and operating conditions. Thermostatic operation means the burner does not necessarily run continuously once the selected temperature has been reached. For installation, ventilation, fuel and maintenance requirements, read the Airrex AH-200i, AH-300i and AH-800i user manual.

Airrex diesel heater FAQs

Do Airrex heaters warm the air?

They produce infrared heat that is absorbed by people, objects and structures. Those warmed surfaces then also transfer heat to the surrounding air.

Does an Airrex heater need a flue?

A separate exhaust pipe is not normally required in many suitable working environments, according to the manufacturer. Correct inlet and outlet ventilation is still essential, and the heater must not be used in sleeping accommodation. Follow the model manual and applicable regulations.

Which Airrex heater should I choose?

The AH-200i is the smaller 13 kW model and is listed for spaces up to 900 m³. The AH-800i produces 22 kW and is listed for spaces up to 2,000 m³. Choose according to the building's volume, insulation, ventilation, outside temperature and how often doors are opened.

Can Airrex heaters be controlled remotely?

Yes. The models listed by Fieldfare include a remote control and support mobile control through Wi-Fi, with a 4G connection available where specified.

Are Airrex heaters suitable for dusty workshops?

Because radiant heat does not depend on a circulation fan, the heater does not blow dust around in the way a fan heater can. The heater must still be positioned and maintained according to its manual.
